Why, Where, and How We Use Reference Initials

 Reference initials are important in documents. A reference initial is used as a way of recording who wrote and signed a document. These are used at the bottom of a letter or document to show who is responsible for typing this letter. Reference initials are the first letters from your first and last name, and always remain lowercase. They are placed two spaces below the signature of a letter or document and above any enclosures.
